PENNY and STEVE KILBY

There’s an old saying around here that if you’re lucky enough to live in the mountains, you’re lucky enough. Your hosts, Penny Kilby, a retired school teacher from Wilmington, Delaware and husband Steve, a native of nearby Wilkes County, North Carolina, feel fortunate to have found each other, and the peaceful place they now call home. They enjoy the natural beauty, the abundant wildlife, and the wide variety of activities and events in the area, as well as the friendliest folks you can find anywhere. They’d love to have you visit and experience the best of mountain living whether it is a very active time of hiking, bicycling, or canoeing, a quiet relaxing get away or a combination of both.

"In the mountains, we forget to count the days. "
