| Private Music Lessons
Private instruction is available in our Southwest Virginia
Home Studio. I teach all levels of acoustic guitar from beginners to advanced
contest flatpicking. You can learn to play tunes in the flatpicking styles
of Doc Watson, Tony Rice, or Norman Blake. I also teach Travis style finger-picking
and other flatpicking styles such as those played by George Shuffler and
Maybelle Carter. I also teach various back-up guitar styles and advanced
swing chords.
I teach beginner and intermediate MANDOLIN and BASS as well as beginning
bluegrass BANJO which introduces rolls and tunes such as Cripple Creek
and Old Joe Clark.
The price of private instruction is $30.00 per hour, payable
